PIC-BIO wins this year's Best PR Prize at Health Food Exposition & Conference

Soy Protein "BIO ATHLETE P3"

PIC-BIO is a company that develops soy bean peptide and protein health products. PIC-BIO has an image character called "Natto-Zamurai" (Fermented Soy Bean Samurai) and the character was walking around the booth, capturing the attention of the visitors.

Natto-Zamurai Picture Book

"Natto-Zamurai" was created by 2 famous musicians under the name of Manga Kyodai. A picture book of "Natto-Zamurai" is published from POPLAR Publishing. There is a dance that goes along with the theme song and PIC-BIO receives offers from preschools too. They were showing the "Natto-Zamurai Dance" on the screen as seen in the picture below.

A talk session was held in the afternoon with the 2 authors and a famous Japanese comedian. The speakers' pictures were displayed largely at the booth (refer to the photo below) and it was clear that PIC-BIO was putting strong effort into their promotion activities. After seeing their enthusiastic booth, it was not a surprise that they were the winner of this year's Best PR Prize.

PIC-BIOの大豆プロテイン

最後に、ヘルスフード・エキスポでベストPR賞を受賞したPIC-BIO（ピィ・アイ・シィ・バイオ）のPR方法についてご紹介したい。

大豆プロテイン「BIO ATHLETE P3」

会場内でひときわ目立った着ぐるみのキャラクター『なっとうざむらい』に引かれてブースを覗くと、展開されていたのは大豆ペプチド・プロテインや大豆を用いた健康食品。必ずしも納豆製品というわけではないようだ。

「なっとうざむらいダンス」

『なっとうざむらい』は、この会社のプロテインを愛用する著名なミュージシャン二名による漫画兄弟というユニットが作ったキャラクターで、ポプラ社から絵本も出している。テーマソングに併せたダンスも好評で、幼稚園などからの問い合わせも多いとか。ブースでは『なっとうざむらいダンス』の映像も常時流していた。

午後には作者である漫画兄弟とお笑いタレントの三名によるトークショーもあり、ブースの一番目立つところに大々的にその三名の写真入り予告が掲載されているなど、PRに非常に力を入れていた。細かい説明文や効能に関するうんちくなど少々堅苦しく味気ない印象が否めない会場に於いて、着ぐるみ＆有名人はやはり一目で華やかで集客力もあり、ベストPR賞授賞も頷けた。
